Western Areas Reports Record Profits for Full Year

Mining Weekly reports Western Areas (ASX:WSA,TSX:WSA) had a record net profit after tax of A$135-million for the financial year ended June.

The market news is quoted as saying,

The nickel miner said that the strong financial results, which compared with a net profit after tax of A$14.2-million for the previous financial year, had been driven by several factors, including production targets being exceeded from the Spotted Quoll and Flying Fox mines, which produced some 32 222 t of nickel.
