Optimism Returns to Western Australia Nickel Sector

Mining Weekly reported there has been a resurgence of interest in the Western Australian nickel industry since the end of the global financial crisis.

The market news is quoted as saying,

The Western Australian nickel industry was hit hard during the 2008 financial crisis, when low demand forced projects to grind to a halt and mines to close. During the height of the global financial crisis, nickel prices fell from $33 000/t to $10 000/t.
