Norilsk Nickel Climbs with Billionaire Plans to Buy

Bloomberg reports Norilsk Nickel (LON:MNOD) climbed today after billionaire Alisher Usmanov said his holding company, Metalloinvest , will buy shares in Russia’s largest mining company.

“The board of Metalloinvest recently approved a plan to buy Norilsk shares,” Usmanov said in a telephone interview. “The 4 percent of Norilsk that I have now will be transferred to Metalloinvest during the year.”
