Mining Weekly reported Liberty Mines’ (TSX:LBE) closure plan for its Hart mine has been approved by the Canadian government.
As quoted in the market news:
Liberty Mines is a step closer to starting production at its Hart mine, in Ontario, following government approval of its closure plan that outlines the disposal of the mine after it is worked out.
The closure plan outlines how the portal and ventilation shafts to the underground operation would be sealed and all other surface operations of the mine rehabilitated. The plan calls for about $590 000 to be set aside in a trust fund for the mine’s rehabilitation.
