Glencore Bid for Norilsk Stake Sold to Trafigura, says Deripaska

Bloomberg.com reports that Glencore International AG had tried to buy a stake in Norilsk Nickel prior to it’s sale to Trafigura Beheer BV.

The story is quoted as saying:

Glencore International AG, the largest trader of industrial metals, offered to buy an 8 percent stake in OAO GMK Norilsk Nickel before it was sold to rival Trafigura Beheer BV, according to billionaire Oleg Deripaska.
