Mining.com reported that IT Services Company Empired Limited has signed a contract to provide Application Managed Services to Rio Tinto (NYSE:RIO).
Mining.com reported that IT Services Company Empired Limited has signed a contract to provide Application Managed Services to Rio Tinto (NYSE:RIO).
As quoted in the market news,
The contract, including options, will have a total term of 5 years and an estimated value of $20m. Under the contract Empired will provide application support and project services for over 170 unique applications, spanning a number of technologies including Legacy Platforms, Oracle, Microsoft .Net, Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft CRM.
Empired’s Managing Director, Russell Baskerville, stated:
We are delighted to be trusted by an organisation as prestigious as Rio Tinto to manage applications that are critical to the efficient operation of one of the world’s largest mining operations.
