BC Iron Increases Direct Shipping Ore

Mining Weekly reported BC Iron (ASX:BCI) has reported a 25% increase in the direct shipping ore (DSO) resource estimate at its Nullagine joint venture grading 57% iron.

As quoted in the market news:

The updated resource estimate resulted from an in-fill drilling programme at the Bonnie East deposit, completed in late 2011.

The miner said in a statement that as a result of the upgrade, a mining study was under way to extend the mine life of the Nullagine project, as well as to improve the project economics.
