DRC Pushes Out Copper, Cobalt Export Ban

Metal Bulletin reported that the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s (DRC) ban on copper and cobalt exports has been pushed back once again. The news outlet cites “a lack of energy supplies” as the reason for the extension.
As quoted in the market news:

The government of the DRC has extended a moratorium ahead of the planned ban, allowing exports of copper and cobalt concentrates until December 31, 2016.
