Reuters reported that London Metal Exchange copper rose on Wednesday, climbing 0.4 percent to reach $5,847 a tonne. Meanwhile, copper on the COMEX dipped for a second session in a row, according to Investing.com, landing at $2.64 a pound.

Investors have been cautious before the start of China’s National People’s Congress annual meeting on Thursday. Accounting for almost 40 percent of the world’s copper consumption, the Asian nation is the world’s biggest consumer of the metal.
