Illumina Applies Genetic Testing on Bulls for Better Milk Production

Bloomberg reported that Illumina Inc. (NASDAQ:ILMN) and Life Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:LIFE), which have made significant advancements in new medicine through genetic testing, have now developed cost-efficient procedures to produce the best cow’s milk.

As quoted in the market news:

“The genetic tests, which may help double U.S. milk production in the next few years, debuted about four years ago and are being quickly adopted in the industry, Lamb said. Executives from Illumina, based in San Diego, and Life Technologies, of Carlsbad, California, say they are benefiting from the increased interest.”
