NuRAN Wireless Inc. (CSE:NUR,FWB:1RN,OTCMKTS:NRRWF), a leading supplier of mobile and broadband wireless infrastructure solutions is pleased to announce it has signed a trial agreement with an undisclosed Tier-One mobile network operator (‘the Operator”) for Kenya
According to the agreement, NuRAN and the Operator will perform a field trial of LiteRAN 2G, NuRAN’s leading mobile network infrastructure solution for rural connectivity. The trial is a prerequisite step towards an expected rollout of hundreds of sites which have been already identified throughout the country. The trial is expected to be completed within calendar Q1 2019.
The Republic of Kenya has a population of approximately 48 Million people and has the largest economy in eastern and central Africa. Outside of the urban centres, 2G networks continue to dominate as most devices are 2G compatible and therefore necessitating continued and sustained investment.
