iPass (NASDAQ:IPAS) announced that it has signed two new data deals with one being for its iPass Location Intelligence product and one for iPass Network Intelligence.

As quoted in the press release:

iPass Location Intelligence delivers the most accurate location data in the industry by enhancing GPS signals with high precision location data from Wi-Fi access points. The new deal with a leading location insights provider for iPass Location Intelligence will see the company receive anonymized device location data from iPass, which will be used to enhance its various location data offerings.

The iPass Network Intelligence deal is with a leading telecommunications services and solutions provider. Under the terms of the deal, the company will draw anonymized iPass cellular data into bespoke dashboards that it offers mobile operators, providing its customers with greater visibility into the performance and operation of their networks.

“Data is a huge area of focus for us, and these new agreements are a fantastic validation of the quality of the data delivered by iPass,” said Patricia Hume, COO at iPass. “As we’ve suggested in the past, whether the customer is an enterprise, a mobile operator, or a retail brand, traditional iPass connectivity services are the hook that drive the volume and density of data. It all starts with our iPass SmartConnect technology, which provides high quality data on network performance as well as hotspot and device location. We look forward to working with these two valued partners to provide their customers with the industry’s most accurate location and network data.”
