iPass Partners with Tech Data to Improve Operational Efficiency and Quality of Service While Reducing Operating Expenses

iPass Inc (NASDAQ:IPAS), a leading provider of global mobile connectivity announced that it is expanding its partnership with Tech Data to streamline its operations by outsourcing its tier one support and a portion of its customer management services globally. iPass Inc (NASDAQ:IPAS), a leading provider of global mobile connectivity announced that it is expanding its partnership with Tech Data to streamline its operations by outsourcing its tier one support and a portion of its customer management services globally.

The company said that the changes would be effective June 1 and that the deal will enable iPass to focus on its core business of bringing connectivity management solutions and big data to enterprises and carriers.

As quoted in the press release:

Tech Data is the leading end-to-end distributor of technology products, services and solutions around the world. The alliance represents a strategic shift for iPass, allowing it to improve operational efficiency and quality of service with best in class customer service and support, while mitigating risk, freeing up capital, and driving revenue growth for its core business.

“We believe working with Tech Data will help us optimize our operating expenses, increase customer satisfaction and help us reach a new standard of operational excellence,” said Patricia Hume, iPass chief commercial officer. “We are delighted to partner with Tech Data to extend high quality customer care to our entire customer base, both our large enterprises as well as our burgeoning small and medium business segment. This deal truly embodies our core value of putting our customers first.”
