Cloud Company Data Deposit Box Receives Accolades for Storage Solution
Data Deposit Box recently gained industry recognition at this year’s ASCII Events IT SMB Success Summit in Austin, Texas. It received awards for being “Best Cloud Solution” and “Best Storage Solution.”
Last Thursday, Data Deposit Box (CSE:DDB), a global provider of cloud backup and recovery technology, announced that it was awarded “best cloud solution” and “best storage solution” at this year’s ASCII Events IT SMB Success Summit in Austin, Texas.
For those unfamiliar with the company, it’s a pioneer of cloud backup and recovery technology. The company has set a new industry standard by offering the SMB market the same level of security and protection that is available to large enterprises. Currently, Data Deposit Box’s technologies and solutions are used by over 200,000 customers, a thousand resellers, 25 managed service partners and private label partners.
Unsurprisingly, Data Deposit Box is an industry favorite. Its patented backup technology, advanced data reduction capabilities and ease of use are part of what make it so appealing. So too is the wide applicability of its solutions — Data Deposit Box can help companies with online backup and recovery, archiving, disaster readiness, secure file sharing and remote access.
ASCII Events IT SMB Success Summit
As mentioned, Data Deposit Box is an industry favorite, and most recently was recognized as “best cloud solution” and “best storage solution” at the ASCII Events IT SMB Success Summit. The event was attended by a network of managed service providers and value-added resellers, and was comprised of a number of keynote addresses and pavilion presentations, with awards handed out at its conclusion.
Data Deposit Box was excited to win in two of the eight categories, and according to CEO Tim Jewell has been working hard over the past 12 months to strengthen its offering in the cloud space. He stated in a press release, “we have focused our global business and strategy on three distinct strategic goals: build our partner-only and reseller-only channel; build the MSP enablement channel; and become the end-to-end cloud backup and recovery provider for the SMB [small to medium business] globally. Being awarded both the ‘Best Cloud Solution’ and ‘Best Storage Solution when compared against such large and heavily funded companies sends a real message that Data Deposit Box is offering a service that resonates with the SMB and the MSPs who support them.”
ASCII will be hosting eight similar events in North America this year, with the Austin one being the first. That first event drew a number of cloud storage companies in addition to Data Deposit Box, including Datto, Carbonite (NASDAQ:CARB) and StorageCraft Technology.
Recent company news
What else has Data Deposit Box been up to lately? On March 1, the company announced that it has established a regional distribution agreement with Singapore-based TechServe. Under the deal, TechServe will become the dedicated regional distributor of Data Deposit Box’s new Smart Storage product line. Furthermore, the partnership will provide the company with a direct local presence in the Asia-Pacific region.
This movement into the Asia-Pacific region illustrates the global scope of Data Deposit Box’s services. For investors, the news of this expansion may be very promising, particularly in light of the company’s industry recognition at the the ASCII Events IT SMB Success Summit.
