New CEO Named for Portland's Lucid Energy
Portland-based renewable energy company Lucid Energy has named Bill Kelly as its new CEO.
Portland-based renewable energy company Lucid Energy has named Bill Kelly as its new CEO.
According to the Portland Business Journal:
Water industry veteran Bill Kelly will join the maker of water-powered turbines after the departure of Gregg Semler. Semler, who led the organization when it moved from Indiana to Portland in 2011, plans to pursue other opportunities.
Dr. Sam Bernstein, chairman of the board of Lucid Energy, said in a press release:
This is a very exciting time for Lucid Energy as it makes the transition into a fully commercial, sales-oriented company with a focus on providing a strong value proposition to its customers and driving new product deployments.
We believe Bill Kelly has the right combination of skills and expertise to lead the company into this next, continuing phase of growth.
Fostering the commercialization of products in the utility sector motivates my best work, and I’ve been working closely with Gregg Semler and the Lucid Energy team for several years in my role as president of Isle Utilities and administrator of the North American TAG Forum.
