CNN reported that toxic algae blooms appearing on the Pacific Coast – affecting California to Alaska – are contaminating drinking water in the United States.
As quoted in the video:

“Algae can suck the oxygen right out of the water, leaving less oxygen for the fish. In fact, fish had been dying in places like the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. Scientists are racing against time to determine what’s causing these algae blooms. Not only is it happening along coastal areas and affecting our fisheries, but the algae blooms have also been contaminating our drinking water for many communities that rely on the great lakes.”
