Sylvania Platinum Says Accidents at Partner Mines Hurt Production

Resource Investing News Reuters reported that Sylvania Platinum Ltd said the accidents that occurred last month at Samancor Chrome Ltd’s mines in South Africa caused 900 ounces of lost production and sent its stocks down 10%.

The news sent miner Sylvania’s stock down 10 percent to 11.75 pence at 0811 GMT, making it the second-biggest percentage loser on the London Stock Exchange.
