Standard Bank Says Platinum Is Good Long-Term Play on Short Supply
Mineweb reported Standard Bank analysts say platinum is a good investment for the long-term due to a dwindling supply, but in the short-term it may not be worth it.
Mineweb reported Standard Bank analysts say platinum is a good investment for the long-term due to a dwindling supply, but in the short-term it may not be worth it.
As quoted in the market news:
Platinum started 2012 at $1,400 per ounce, slightly above its closing price for 2011 and significantly below where it is currently trading.
But, while the price is looking decidedly healthier than it did at the beginning of the year, the outlook for the metal, at least in the near term is not particularly good.
