Platts reported Aquarius Platinum (ASX:AQP,LSE:AQP) closed its Everest Mine in South Africa due to a protected strike.

As quoted in the market news,
A company spokesman said that, to date, the impact on production has not been material, although this could change dependent on the length of the strike.
Total attributable PGM production in 2010 came in at 422,645 oz across the company’s seven operations in South Africa and Zimbabwe. Total attributable PGM output at the Everest mine weighed in at just 8,496 oz in 2010, down from 64,068 oz in 2009.
