Amplats to Release Business Review in Early 2013

Reuters reported that the results of Anglo American Platinum Ltd.’s (OTC Pink:AGPPY) business review will be published early in 2013. The review is expected to lead to job cuts, which could cause further violence in South Africa, where there has already been much violence this year.

As quoted in the market news:

Spokeswoman Mpumi Sithole, confirming a report in the Business Day newspaper, told Reuters the review would be presented to Amplats’ board in January and made public shortly after that.

The review comes as the global mining group searches for a replacement for outgoing chief executive Cynthia Carroll.
