Minister of Mineral Resources Esperanca Bias proposed cooperation ideas to his Angolan counterpart who visited the Mozambican capital Maputo last week.
Bias said the Angolan knowledge would help his government to determine exactly where diamonds can be found and in what quantities.
Bias added that the government also wants to step up cooperation between public companies of the two countries in the diamond mining area.
