KKR Looking At BHP, Rio Tinto Diamond Mines

Mineweb reported Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) is among the bidders for both BHP’s and Rio Tnto’s diamond mining operations.

Reports in London over the weekend suggest that major U.S. headquartered global investment firm, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) is among the bidders for both BHP’s and Rio Tnto’s diamond mining operations in a bid to become, at one step, the world’s third largest diamond miner to get itself in place for a perceived shortfall in production vs demand in the years ahead.
