Paladin Energy Reports Record 2012 Output at Langer Heinrich, Kayelekera

Energy InvestingMining Weekly reported that uranium miner, Paladin Energy (TSX:PDN) delivered a record quarterly and annual production at its Kayelekera and Langer Heinrich operations, with a combined production of 2.1 million pounds of uranium oxide for the December quarter, and a total annual output of 7.9 million pounds of uranium oxide.

Paladin said on Thursday that the strong combined production over the past two quarters at both the Langer Heinrich and Kayelekera mines, with signs for continued improvement, placed the company in a good position to achieve its production target of between 8-million and 8.5-million pounds U3O8 for the 2013 financial year, with the opportunity to deliver in the upper end of this range.
