Bloomberg reported that oil surged $1.95 to $107.06 a barrel on concern over fuel demand in U.S.

As quoted in the market news:

Crude for April delivery rose $1.95 to $107.06 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, the highest settlement since March 9. It was the biggest gain since Feb. 21. Prices are up 8.3 percent this year and down 0.3 percent this week.
