Researchers Offer Cheaper Alternative to REE`s, for Use in LED Lighting

Lighting.com reported that academics researchers say that they have created a material that serves as a cheaper alternative to rare earth element phosphors in LED`s.

As quoted in the market report:

REE phosphors have become increasingly hazardous to extract and process, with China controlling most of the global market. This has led to dramatic increases in the price of REEs in recent years.
