Platts reported that manganese prices went up by five cents even though there has been little trade on the spot market.

As quoted in the market news:

Platts 44% Mn ore lump assessment moved up 5 cents to $4.30/dry mt unit CIF Tianjin, China.

Market participants have reported that although demand for manganese ore has been soft there has not been any indication from miners to drop offer prices for seaborne material.

Sources reckoned that despite weak demand, prices for manganese ore lumps are likely to stay stable.
