Australia OM Holdings Seeks Local Partner for Sarawak Manganese Smelter

Platts reported that OM Holdings (ASX:OMH) may grant a 20% stake in its Sarawak Manganese smelter to Malaysia’s Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad.

The market news is quoted as saying:

The company is eyeing commercial operations in the first half of 2014 and ramp-up to full capacity by the first quarter of 2015 for a facility able to produce 300,000 mt/year of manganese ferroalloys and 300,000 mt/year of ferrosilicon alloys.
