Toyota Motor, BMW AG to Develop a Next-Generation Lithium-Ion Batteries

Reuters reported Toyota Motor Corp (NYSE:TM) and BMW AG (TSX:BMW) initiated new research to develop a next-generation lithium-ion batteries.

As quoted in the market news:

The research project focuses on boosting the performance and capacity of lithium-ion battery cells through the use of new combinations of materials for cathodes, anodes and electrolytes, they said in a joint statement.
