signumBOX Ranks Li3′s Maricunga Fourth-best Undeveloped Brine Lithium Project

Li3 Energy Inc.’s (OTCBB: LIEG) Maricunga project has been selected independently by signumBOX as the fourth-best undeveloped lithium project in the world out of the 37 other brine projects.

Additional key conclusions of the February 2014 report are:

• Global lithium demand is expected to grow at a base rate of 6% in 2014 from 2013 rates.
• The increase in the growth rate is due primarily to an increase in demand from the battery industry, which is projected to grow a base rate of 11.2% in 2014 from 2013 and increase year after year.
• After the Atacama salar, the Maricunga salar has the second highest quality deposit of lithium in Chile.
• Li3′s Maricunga project is the highest ranked undeveloped lithium brine project in Chile.
