Minor Metals Industry Reluctant On LME Futures Contracts

The Wall St. Journal.com reports that the industry has not fully accepted minor metals conracts on the LME, including cobalt, and therefore will not be used as a pricing mechanism yet.

The story is quoted as saying:

Cobalt futures contracts had proven slightly more popular but there was still “negligible” business and “quite often there are no traders in the ring,” a trader said.
