Platts reported that on Wednesday, Panos Kotseras, a senior consultant at CRU, told the Cobalt Development Institute conference that his firm expects cobalt prices to recover in 2015.
As quoted in the market news:
“Prices are hovering around a negative trend, which we expect to continue next year,” Kotseras said in a presentation at the conference. “We think prices will recover in 2015 and beyond.”
London-based consultancy CRU is expecting high grade cobalt metal to average $13.40/lb in 2013, $12.80/lb in 2014 and $13.90/lb in 2015.
