Due to decreased demand for zinc and doubt about Greek debt London Metal Exchange (LME) showed that zinc was left at the bottom and closed down at 2118.5 points, down by 16.5 points, or 0.77%. Stockpiles, on Wednesday, rose 6,675 tons, totally to 566,150 tons.

Due to decreased demand for zinc and doubt about Greek debt London Metal Exchange (LME) showed that zinc was left at the bottom and closed down at 2118.5 points, down by 16.5 points, or 0.77%. Stockpiles, on Wednesday, rose 6,675 tons, totally to 566,150 tons.
The press release is quoted as saying:
“Shanghai zinc opened high and closed low. Contract 1008 closed at 17,440 points, down by 240 points, or 1.36%, trading at 17,415 to 17,930, positions rosed more than 23,028 hands, and the trading volume rose sharply.”
