Bloomberg.com reports that Hindustan Zinc reported significant profits in the third quarter.

The story is quoted as saying:

 Prices of zinc, that’s required to rust-proof steel used to make automobiles and appliances, averaged 4 percent higher at $2,331 a metric ton in the quarter in London. The average price of silver, the precious metal that the company produces, rose more than 50 percent to $26.5 an ounce in the last quarter in the cash market
