The trader added that he was achieving premiums in the range of $200/mt for briquettes and $200-250/mt for cathodes plus LME cash. Premiums for full-plate cathodes were said to be around $100/mt plus LME cash.
Nickel traded at a fresh year low of $16,720/mt on LMEselect on Wednesday down from a year high of $22,150/mt in February.
