BHP opens door on shared rail

The Herald.com reports that Atlas Iron (ASX:AGO) has agreed to enter into discussions with BHP Billiton (NYSE:BHP) to discuss sharing railway transportation.

The story is quoted as saying:

In a move that could eventually see other small producers strike deals to export from the Pilbara using BHP rail, Atlas said it had agreed to enter into good faith discussions with BHP concerning an “integrated transport solution” in Port Hedland.
