Superior Copper Corporation (TSXV:SPC) has appointed former member of the Provincial Parliament of Ontario Ernie Eves to its board of directors. Also, Superior Copper has staked additional land claims in the Mamainse Point area, increasing the company’s land position to roughly 17,874 hectares.

Superior Copper Corporation (TSXV:SPC) has appointed former member of the Provincial Parliament of Ontario Ernie Eves to its board of directors. Also, Superior Copper has staked additional land claims in the Mamainse Point area, increasing the company’s land position to roughly 17,874 hectares.

As quoted in the press release:

Mr. Eves was a member of the Provincial Parliament of Ontario for nearly 24 years, and served in numerous legislative capacities including Minister of Finance, Deputy Premier. He later became Ontario’s 23rd Premier. A lawyer by profession, Mr. Eves is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the bar in 1972. He was appointed a Queen’s Counsel in 1983. The Company also announces the grant of 500,000 options to Mr. Eves at an exercise price of $0.20 per share for a period of 5 years.

Superior Copper president and CEO, John Tait, said:

Following an airborne ZTEM survey, we saw some interesting features on the fringes of our property. These ZTEM responses have added to our drill targeting. The project now covers even more of the prospective geology at Mamainse Point, Ontario giving Superior Copper control over this exciting exploration play.
