The receipt of the operating license allows the company to commence full production at the Vermelhos mine.
Ero Copper (TSX: ERO) has announced the issuance of the Vermelhos operating license by the Instituto de Meio Ambiente e Recursos Hídricos do Estado da Bahia (INEMA), the governing environmental agency for the State of Bahia in Brazil.
As quoted in the press release:
The receipt of the operating license allows the company to commence full production at the Vermelhos mine. Since August, as authorized under the Vermelhos mine installation license, the company has conducted trial mining, transport and metallurgical test processing of ore from the mine.
