The projection is based on the consensus forecast of eight analysts, including Goldman Sachs, Citibank,Scotiabank, Chile’s state copper commission Cochilco and BNamericas.
However, the influx of new supply and the anticipated surplus starting this year could push the price below US$3/lb by 2015, according to the report.
