Naturally Splendid Climbs as NATERA(TM) Hemp Superfood Hits Shelves
Naturally Splendid saw some positive price movement during the first week of March as NATERA(TM) hit grocery store shelves.
British Columbia-based Naturally Splendid (TSXV:NSP) saw some positive price movement as the first week of Nutrition Month — more commonly known as March — drew to a close.
It was a big week for Naturally Splendid, which announced today that Nature’s Fare Markets, an organic and natural foods grocer in BC, will start stocking its shelves with NATERA(TM), Naturally Splendid’s hemp-based superfood.
According to comments from Naturally Splendid’s CEO, Craig Goodwin, “[t]he acceptance of our NATERA(TM) products from such a discerning natural foods grocer is confirmation that our product line continues to gain market share and awareness within the health food community. With an expanded product offering, new branding and continued demand by consumers for healthier food choices, the NATERA(TM) line continues to gain traction in 2014.”
That isn’t the first announcement of its kind this week. On Wednesday, the company received its first order for NATERA(TM) from Summit Specialty Foods, a full-service natural and conventional food distributor. Summit has ties with major independent and health-food grocery stores, including major grocery chains like Save-On and Sobeys. Naturally Splendid products can already be found in London Drugs stores.
Dave Baker, president of Summit Specialty Foods, commented, “[t]he natural food market continues to grow at a significant pace and we couldn’t be more pleased to represent the NATERA(TM) product line to our client base of almost 900 grocery retailers in Western Canada.”
In September, Naturally Splendid rebranded its line of hemp superfood products under the NATERA(TM) name and so far it seems that the rebrand is paying off as NATERA(TM) gains popularity.
Naturally Splendid started the week on the TSX Venture Exchange at $0.18 and has since climbed 22.5 percent to round out the week at $0.24.
