Pollard Banknote (TSX:PBL) has announced the addition of Ms. PAC-MAN to its expanding licensed games portfolio.
As quoted in the press release:

Under the agreement with BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment, Inc., Pollard Banknote now offers Ms. PAC-MAN™ branded instant tickets to its lottery clients. This is the first time the brand has been available for use on lottery products.
Introduced in North America in 1981, Ms. PAC-MAN™ became one of the most popular arcade video games of all time, and in 2016, the game placed 5th on TIME Magazine’s “The 50 Best Video Games of All Time” list.
Ms. PAC-MAN™ was the first arcade game to introduce a female playable character, and featured four different mazes in different color schemes. The simple, yet exciting game play quickly led Ms. PAC-MAN™ to become one of the highest selling arcade games.
Just as the arcade game expanded on the success of its predecessors, the Ms. PAC-MAN™ brand builds on the popularity of classic retro games in the lottery industry. This fresh face offers a broader appeal that can be highlighted in bright, powerful ticket designs, making the brand longevity of Ms. PAC-MAN™ the perfect way to engage both nostalgic players with established, yet still-relevant game concepts, and the younger demographic who has been introduced to the brand more recently.
Ms. PAC-MAN™ is a welcome addition to Pollard Banknote’s suite of licensed retro brands, and is a natural follow up for lotteries wishing to launch the next exciting retro brand. Diversifying licensed games portfolios with a strong female lead, Ms. PAC-MAN™ is strutting her way to lotteries throughout North America.
