NuRAN Wireless Inc. (CSE:NUR,FWB:1RN,OTCMKTS:NRRWF) , announces that it has received an initial purchase order from from Africa Mobile Networks (“AMN”). Nuran’s selection by AMN was initially announced on June 14, 2018. This purchase order is the first of many expected from AMN.

The agreement with AMN is for the supply of OC-2G units in a minimum of five (5) countries and up to 3,000 sites based on commercial and operational success. The number of countries could grow to over 13. The OC-2G’s commercial availability was announced in November of 2017 and has since undergone trials with multiple Tier One operators around the world.

At the recent Telecom Infra Project Summit (“TIP” Summit) hosted by Facebook (FB:NASDAQ) in London last week, Major Mobile Network Operators like MTN, Vodafone and Telefonica announced a major shift towards rural connectivity with important commitments. As part of this trend, AMN has completed several trials and rollouts with many Tier One mobile operators of the industry as presented during TIP.

Martin Bedard, CEO of NuRAN Wireless stated: “I would like to thank the Operations Team on helping the Company achieve this important milestone as it is just the start for us.” Mr. Bedard continued: “With this initial order and the building blocks of the relationship with AMN cemented, NuRAN has visibility on 300 million mobile subscribers in Sub-Saharan Africa which we will be striving to connect as many as possible. This is one enormous step in the direction of our corporate vision of connecting the next billion.”

Africa Mobile Networks is a group of companies organised with its corporate head office in the UK and subsidiary operating companies in several sub-Saharan African countries. Africa Mobile Networks Ltd is a UK-registered company and it has the controlling share of each of the local operating companies. AMN plans on investing over USD 550,000,000 in network infrastructure assets over 3 years.
