MediaValet to Participate in Preview of Microsoft Azure's Canadian Cloud Services
MediaValet Inc. (TSX:MVP) is one Microsoft’s Canadian partners, chosen to participate in the operational preview of Microsoft Azure cloud services being delivered to Canada.
MediaValet Inc. (TSX:MVP) is one Microsoft’s Canadian partners, chosen to participate in the operational preview of Microsoft Azure cloud services being delivered to Canada.
According to the press release:
This follows Microsoft’s press release on June 2, 2015, announcing the opening of Microsoft’s first Canadian data centres, to be located in Toronto and Montreal city. “Today, we announced a significant milestone in Microsoft’s expansion of trusted cloud services into Canada,” said Mary-Ellen Anderson vice-president of developer experience and evangelism at Microsoft Canada. “We couldn’t be more excited about the continued investment we’re making to help our mutual partners transform to the next business era along with us.”
Until now, MediaValet has been unable to meet the digital asset management needs of Canadian industries with strict data storage and compliance codes, such as education, health care and government. Microsoft’s new Canadian cloud services will dramatically expand MediaValet’s market opportunity in Canada, addressing the digital asset management needs of both local and international organizations with operations in Canada.
“Microsoft has been a tremendous partner since we first began working on MediaValet in 2010,” commented David MacLaren, founder and chief executive officer of MediaValet. “Participating in the operational preview of Microsoft Azure’s Canadian cloud services is a great honour for all of us at MediaValet. This marks another milestone in our relationship with Microsoft and, for the first time, brings our solution home.”
