    Aerospike, the leader in enterprise-class NoSQL solutions, today announced that Gartner, Inc. has named Aerospike a sample vendor in five Gartner Hype Cycle reports this year: ●     “Hype Cycle for Application Architecture, 2016”1 (“In-Process HTAP”); ●     “Hype Cycle for In-Memory Computing Technology, 2016”2 (“In-Process HTAP,” “Operational In-Memory DBMS”); ●     “Hype Cycle for Smart Grid Technologies, …

    Aerospike, the leader in enterprise-class NoSQL solutions, today announced that Gartner, Inc. has named Aerospike a sample vendor in five Gartner Hype Cycle reports this year:

    ●     “Hype Cycle for Application Architecture, 2016”1 (“In-Process HTAP”);
    ●     “Hype Cycle for In-Memory Computing Technology, 2016”2 (“In-Process HTAP,” “Operational In-Memory DBMS”);
    ●     “Hype Cycle for Smart Grid Technologies, 2016”3 (“In-Process HTAP”);
    ●     “Hype Cycle for Information Infrastructure, 2016”4 (“Key-Value DBMSs,” “Operational In-Memory DBMS” and “In-Process HTAP”);
    ●     “Hype Cycle for Web-Scale IT, 2016”5 (“Operational In-Memory DBMS” and “Key-Value DBMSs”).
    According to the “Hype Cycle for Application Architecture, 2016,”1 Gartner says, “Application architecture is undergoing a wave of innovation as organizations invent new architectural paradigms, patterns and structures to support digital business initiatives and modern delivery processes. CTOs should leverage this wave for increased agility and competitive advantage.”
    In an August 2016 report examining 109 Hype Cycles,6 Gartner identified four megatrends driving the evolution and connection of digital business: “Artificial Intelligence (Smart) Technologies,” “Digital Business Technologies (IoT, Blockchain, Wearable, 3D Printing, Digital Workplace),” “New Design and Innovation Approaches,” and “Cloud, Mobile, Social, Information Technologies.” In its September 2016 report, Gartner states that “while over 90% of large organizations are pursuing digital initiatives, we estimate fewer than 30% of businesses have fully realized their digital potential at scale.”7 The firm added, “Today, massively connected ecosystems that include businesses, technologies and people cross geographies, markets and industries. Emerging technologies enable organizations to operate their business ecosystems by increasing the interconnection of people and things, allowing vast quantities of data to be exchanged almost real time, and increasing intelligence and allowing complex analysis and decision making in real time.”
    “We feel Aerospike’s inclusion in five Gartner reports reflects the tremendous year we’re having as more organizations take advantage of Aerospike’s predictable performance at scale, superior uptime and availability, and unmatched TCO in powering mission-critical applications,” said Jim LoDestro, Chief Revenue Officer, Aerospike. “We’re thrilled to help Aerospike customers seize on these megatrends to bring their products and services to market faster.”
