According to the Financial Post:
Youngjohns told attendees during his keynote, is the quantity of data involved. Over the past three to five years, we’ve reached an inflection point; the explosion of data has outstripped our ability to analyse it. What we refer to as “big data” is, to him, a solution in its own right — actually a set of analytic tools that help make sense of the deluge of information.

[…] He summarized HP’s big data strategy as addressing four areas: applying analytics everywhere, supporting all data types, embracing open source, and empowering developers.
