Baylin Technologies Inc (TSX:BYL), a diversified global wireless technology management company announced that its subsidiary, Advantech Wireless Technologies received one million dollars in order.

The company said that the order was for its Sapphireblue Series 1,250W Ku-Band UltraLinear Gallium Nitride (GaN) based solid state power amplifier (SSPA) system from premier satellite broadcasting customers.

As quoted in the press release:

“These truly high power, wide bandwidth, all outdoor ruggedized systems allow operation over the entire Ku-band spectrum with multiple carriers and outstanding linearity,” said Cristi Damian, VP Business Development at Advantech.

The Sapphireblu Series of GaN based SSPAs and BUCs from Advantech is designed for multi-carrier operations with power expandable to 3kW by phase combining and redundant ready. The considerable reduction in size, weight, and energy consumption achieved with these GaN based systems makes this architecture an ideal solution for large satellite teleports carrying direct to home applications.

“Our customers realize great savings in energy cost, CAPEX and OPEX with the use of this superior solution,” said Randy Dewey, President and CEO.
