Asahi Cycle Enters Distribution Agreement for BIO-key’s Biometric Enabled Bicycle Locks

BIO-key international Inc (NASDAQ:BKYI) announced that it has entered into an agreement with Asahi Cycle, a leading Japanese bicycle manufacturer for the distribution of Bio-Key’s TouchLock bike line of biometric enabled bicycle locks.

The company, an innovative provider of enterprise biometric software and hardware solutions and consumer products said the agreement will enable the locks to be distributed throughout Japan with the potential to expand distribution across Asia.

As quoted in the press release:

TouchLock Bike is a highly convenient and secure tool to protect bicycle assets with the owners fingerprint and/or via a Bluetooth code, therefore eliminating the need for a key or a combination. We will debut our newest bicycle model along with BIO-key’s Bicycle locks in our combined booth at LIFESTYLE EXPO TOKYO, July 4-6,” commented Asahi Cycle Co. President Masahiko Hoshihara.”
