Netflix Planning to Operate Entirely On The Cloud

Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) is planning to retire its data centers, moving its business completely onto the cloud, according to Investopedia.
As quoted in the publication:
Over the years, however, the company has moved away from hosting its own data and has instead turned to the cloud. Now the video provider has taken that to its logical conclusion and made the decision to close its final data center and operate entirely in the cloud.
“For our streaming business, we have been 100% cloud-based for customer facing systems for some time now, and are planning to completely retire our data centers later this summer,” the company wrote in an email to The Wall Street Journal.
