American Manganese Featured on JWN Energy
American Manganese Inc (TSXV:AMY; PINKS:AMYZF;FRANK:2AM) was featured on the JWN Energy publication
American Manganese Inc (TSXV:AMY; PINKS:AMYZF;FRANK:2AM) was featured on the JWN Energy publication, which described the company as looking to address the lithium shortage in the EV market as well as the ecological damage caused by batteries in landfills.
American Manganese CEO Larry Reaugh described the company’s transition from manganese mining to developing lithium battery recycling technology. In an attempt to develop a technology for improved manganese extraction, the company and its research partner, Kemetco, were able to pinpoint a technology that could extract cathode materials from lithium-ion batteries.
The company plans on developing a $5 million pilot plant in BC, and then plans to develop a commercial plant with a processing capacity of three to five tonnes of materials a day.
“We’re hoping a big recycling company or even an oil and gas company shows interest,” Reaugh is quoted as saying. “It would be a way for an oil and gas company to diversify.”
