South American Silver Drops 17.4%

The Financial Post reported the 17.4% drop of South American Silver Corp. shares after violent protests over the mining property for the Malku Khota project caused Bolivian president Evo Morales to declare that he would revoke the company’s mining concession. The shares of the company fell to 40.4 Canadian cents.

Chief Executive of South American Silver Corp., Greg Johnson commented:

We strongly object to the government’s stated course of actions and we will pursue all legal, constitutional and diplomatic options.
