The silver price declined 0.2 percent to trade at $16.44 an ounce on Wednesday, Reuters reported. The Greek government confirmed it will seek an extension to its existing loan agreement with the Eurozone, spurring investors to hope for a swift end to ongoing debt negotiations.
Ole Hansen, Saxo Bank’s head of commodity strategy, told the news outlet, “Greece remains the joker, and from looking at all markets from stocks to bonds and the euro the market firmly believes that a solution will be found.”
